Whiterock Holiday Fair 2011
Earlier this year, Whiterock Real Estate took over management of the Sussex Centre, 50 Burnhamthorpe West Mississauga. On December 7th, Whiterock continued the previous owners' tradition of holding a Holiday Fair with multiple vendors selling items such as books, DVDs, jewellery, clothing and more. “It gives tenants and their employees an opportunity to mingle,” said Linda Nguyen, Whiterock Tenant Services Coordinator. In the days prior to the Holiday Fair, Community Door was selling raffle tickets with the prizes being $200, $300 and $500 Square One Shopping Centre gift certificates. Community Door is the result of the collective efforts of socially focused agencies looking to combine resources and work together to better serve the community through a centralized social services centre location. Ten not-for-profit agencies, across Peel Region, have joined Community Door, including such agencies as United Way of Peel Region, Family Services of Peel and Peel Senior Link.
